We are officially back in business!

As you may know, the barbershop is much more than a place where an individual gets a haircut. It’s a community that allows us to be who we are, express ourselves in a friendly manner and gives us another social outlet where we can connect and discuss from A to Z. The only way we can ensure we still have “OUR” barbershop feel and maintain a safe and healthy environment for ourselves, our guests and our community, is by collectively adding guidelines, taking all COVID-19 precautions super serious and implementing new practices that will help us defeat this virus, TOGETHER.

You will notice a few changes to our booking site and policies.

Changes you might notice:

  • Previous or “old” booking site(setmore) will now only have one individual on it.

  • NEW: Every working individual will now have their own personal booking site.

  • NEW: Any questions pertaining to a certain individual or a certain schedule other than Locals Barbershop, must be addressed to the individual’s personal booking platform, email or phone number potentially provided online.

BUT BEFORE YOU BOOK!

Please understand what our current scenario is. We are currently trying to limit our exposure, and our client’s exposure, to any potential viruses and diseases. So underneath you will see our temporary changes, requirements, implementations and precautions.

Everything listed below will be followed, required and will be enforced TEMPORARILY. We do have the right to refuse service to anyone who doesn’t abide to our changes, requirements, and health/safety requests:

What to expect from Locals Barbershop:

  • We are going to be Sanitary in every and any way possible.

  • We are going to practice social distancing whenever possible.

  • All working individuals will have “designated” working areas with curtain dividers to limit the exposure to any potential viruses.

  • We are dedicated to providing freshly washed drapes for every client.

  • We will continuously be disinfecting surfaces and areas that are touched multiple times a day. 

  • We will be performing sanitary clean ups and run throughs before and after we open and close the barbershop.

  • As advised and will be implemented, we will be performing daily temp checks on ourselves to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

  • All working individuals will be sanitizing their hands, tools, chairs and stations prior to every appointment.

  • All working individuals inside Locals Barbershop will be wearing a facemask.

  • Same family feel with precautionary implementations.

What we expect from our Guests:

  • We will be taking appointments ONLY. Walk in services are momentarily not available. If you decide to “walk in” without an appointment, our website and a QR code will be provided on the outside on our window, for your convenience.

  • Guests must wear a face mask without the front air filter/ventilator. We will kindly appreciate face masks that wrap around the ears as supposed to wrapping around the whole head.

  • Sanitize hands upon entering. 

  • Practice social distancing whenever possible.

  • Abide to our mandatory temperature check, symptom screenings, and follow all rules instructed by your service provider or Locals Barbershop management. 

  • Do not touch any door knobs, handles or anything within reach. We will kindly open doors for you

  • Be on time(as always).

  • Upon arrival, clients with appointments will have to wait in their car or designated outside area. 

  • Provide a cellphone number that is reachable when creating an appointment online. You will be notified when you’re allowed to come inside via text or call.

  • If the opportunity is available, we would appreciate if our guests come in freshly shampooed.

  • Please don’t come in with hat hair or with product in your hair. We will temporarily not be using our shampoo bowls.

If at any time of your service, your service provider feels there is a possibility you are showcasing any symptoms or feel you are considered “high risk,” we have the right to refuse services and will kindly ask you to reschedule your appointment.**

Temporary changes:

Changes Inside Locals Barbershop:

  • Unfortunately no hugs, no dabs, no handshakes. Only elbow/foot bumps allowed.

  • Unfortunately we are temporarily closing our waiting area until further notice.

  • We will not be offering any beverages for the time being.

  • No coat rack will be provided. (Please limit the personal items you bring in)

  • Bathroom is currently unavailable. No exceptions. Please keep in mind and plan ahead.

  • Only the individual with the appointment is allowed(unless accompanied by a parent). Please contact us prior to your appointment if you need accommodations. 

Changes in Services:

Unfortunately, during the pandemic, we will be limited in the services we provide. 

Services that are momentarily discontinued or not available are:

  • Shampoos

  • Beard trims 

  • Beard line-ups

  • Shaves

  • Hot towel treatments

  • or, any services requiring the removal of face mask.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND:

If you develop any of these symptoms that are new or not by a pre-existing condition in the last 14 days prior to your scheduled appointment, please be considerate, responsible, and kindly re-book your appointment. Please understand that we are trying to limit our exposure to any potential virus to make our establishment a safe and healthy location for the workers and our guests.

Symptoms:

  • Fever, chills or repeated shaking

  • Cough

  • Sore throat

  • Shortness of breath / difficulty breathing

  • Feeling unusually weak or fatigued

  • Loss of taste / smell

  • Muscle pain

  • Headache

  • Runny / congested nose

  • Diarrhea
